Dhokra Craft

Dhokra is a non-ferrous metal casting using the lost wax technique. The Dhokra art is in great demand in the domestic as well as global market. In this technique two processes are followed namely solid casting and hollow casting. Hollow casting is a more traditional method than the solid casting and uses clay core.The solid casting uses a solid piece of wax to create the mould.The dhokra motifs are inspired by indigeneous folk culture.
